Abandoned farmhouse and ancient tree off Leon Road in the farming area north of the Snake River valley. Shortly after this area was discovered for its extremely fertile soil in the middle of the 19th century, it became one of the most settled areas in the West and was for a number of decades, more populous than the Puget Sound. Though the farms remain, the hoards of people required to plant, water, and harvest them are not as they have been replaced by various technologies.
