Almota Road on My Way West

Almota Road, descending down the side of the Snake River valley towards Granite Dam Lake, a part of the Snake River Valley. The Palouse region is a large prairie in the Inland Pacific Northwest that spills from Eastern Washington into Northern Idaho. Back down the hill a few miles is the town of Almota, built on a prehistoric Nez Pierce site named Allamotin, or "moonlight fishing".
