Storm clouds blown by the North Atlantic Current winds until they are a broken up and smooth blanket of ominousness on the north coast of the snaefellsnes peninsula. All year round, the current winds bring storms up to Iceland from the south, giving it warmer, yet more chaotic weather than most anywhere this close to the Arctic Circle. This area because of its temperate green landscapes, tiny wealthy fishing towns, and gentle coastline is a unique place, even for Iceland.
