

Twenty-five miles away from the vast Atlantic Ocean, a delta of glacier runoff bends around an isthmus and empties into a still, beautiful fjord. There are only a few settlements in this fjord, and less villages. Life out here is quiet, the Westfjords are one of the rare few places in this world where less people live now then did hundreds of years ago. It was a valuable trading post for a number of items including liver oil, wool, and fish.
