I WANT US TO GO WEST

Out Where the Sky is Blue

Out Where the Sky is Blue

Always there is redemption. After harvest come days of joy, awareness and thankfulness. This photograph, which I shot from Almota Road above the Lower Granite Dam in Washington, is a moment in time that holds inside of it a momentary multitude of positive feelings about life (for me) including how much I cherish my relative freedom. The seasons will change – I can’t stay here even for a whole day because I am far from home. Blue and golden hues are pretty expressive already but back in Seattle with my Mac I add contrast and vibrance (a photographer’s word) to the image so the picture on paper will conform to my memory of how it felt.
