I WANT US TO GO WEST

Hot Quiet Afternoon

This is the Snake River Bridge at Lyons Ferry, Washington. The landscape surrounding the structure is truly empty and the geometry of the bridge is cool and detached. At the end of the bridge is a state park and it’s hard to believe that in the summer the place will resonate with the sounds of families at play. Oddly, the bridge was placed here in 1968 though before that it spanned the Columbia River at Vantage.
